A member of TWU Local 100 told a reporter that they would join the protest Friday at 4PM.

Here's more about them from their website:

The TWU has four main divisions: Railroad; Gaming; Airline; Transit; and Utility, University and Service. The Union has 114 autonomous locals representing over 200,000 members and retirees in 22 states around the country.

Occupy Wall Street has been picking up some decent support from unions in the past few days. Yesterday we reported that the Teamsters Union declared their support for protestors, and we also found out that the United Pilots Union had members at the protest demonstrating in uniform.

Today we learned the Industrial Workers of the World put a message of support on their website as well.

UPDATE: Verizon union workers have joined the protestors in NYC.

GERMANY / WHAT in the WORLD ? - YouTube

// oAnth:

The statement is really worth watching: an IMO successful attempt of a short resume about the international pro democracy and anti austerity + corruption movement and its possible political new implications, as they showed up by the recent results of the German Pirate Party in the city parliament of Berlin (status of a German state/Land ) with a sudden jump from zero to almost nine percent.

Lost View

In a view that is unlikely to ever be replicated, Mies van der Rohe's iconic IBM Building rises above the Chicago River at dusk. It was his last American building and he died in 1969 before its completion.

This view was only available for a few short months in 2005 after the old Sun-Times building was razed to make room for the new Trump Tower. I have serious regrets that I didn't spend more time shooting the exposed IBM that summer. Now the Trump Tower dominates this scene and obscures the simpler beauty of van der Rohe's work.

Frank Lloyd Wright House In Milwaukee On Sale For Under $200,000 (PHOTOS)

Although his expansive, organic Prairie-style mansions may be the most memorable landmarks of Frank Lloyd Wright's seven decade career, the architect was focused on making artfully-constructed homes available to moderate- and low-income families.
