Art in Our Time at Leeds Art Gallery: Win a pair of tickets to a private tour plus a talk from Grayson Perry

The Leeds Art Fund, the organisation responsible for some of the most significant works of art in the collections of Leeds Museums and Galleries, is celebrating 100 years of collecting avant-garde, progressive and contemporary art with a new exhibition

The Leeds Art Fund is marking its 100th anniversary with an exhibition entitled Art in Our Time. It brings together for the first time paintings and sculpture acquired by one of the UK's oldest regional supporting agencies for the visual arts, which have made a significant contribution to what is recognised as one of the best collections of fine and decorative arts in Britain.

The exhibition is accompanied by a series of talks from well known members of the art world including Turner Prize winner Grayson Perry.

On Monday 25 June, Grayson will offer his perspective on class, taste and art at a talk at Leeds Art Gallery. He will discuss how culture provides the fleetest transport for class mobility and whether artists, collectors and audiences all enjoy 'swanking it and slumming it'.

Five Extra members can win a pair of tickets to a private tour of the Art in our Time Exhibition, followed by a talk from Grayson Perry, at the Leeds Art Gallery on 25 June. The competition closes at midnight on Sunday 17 June 2012.

(Art in Our Time is running at Leeds Art Gallery until 26 August 2012. The Leeds Art Fund centenary is sponsored by private bank Brown Shipley.)

Win tickets to the preview event at the new Turner Contemporary gallery

History will be made in Margate on Saturday 16 April when a new Turner gallery opens its doors. Two Extra members and their guests could win tickets to the preview event the night before

The Turner Contemporary Gallery is a visual arts organisation whose aim is to make art accessible, relevant and fulfilling for all.

Situated on Margate's seafront in a new building designed by Stirling Prize winner David Chipperfield Architects, the gallery is the largest exhibition space in the South East. It offers visitors a selection of temporary exhibitions, events and education programmes. Their approach to art helps people to make connections between art from 1750 and the work produced by today's artists.

In this exclusive competition, two Extra members can win a pair of tickets to attend the gallery preview event on Friday 15th April. The event will be attended by artists from the opening show. The prize includes an overnight stay at the Premier Inn in Margate and travel costs from London to Margate. The dress code for the event is smart or smart casual.

The competition closes at 23:59 on Monday 11 April.

tate britain muybridge whiteread

This exclusive Extra event takes place on 14 September and there are 100 complimentary pairs of tickets to be won.

Eadweard Muybridge pushed the limits of the camera's possibilities, creating world-famous images of animals and humans in motion and anticipating film and moving image. This exhibition brings together a full range of his work, which continues to resonate with artists today in many diverse fields.

Rachel Whiteread is renowned for her evocative large-scale sculptures, but drawing has always remained one of her core activities. This exhibition offers a rare opportunity to explore her works on paper, most of which have never been shown before in a public gallery.

The combined event takes place on 14 September and Extra members are being offered the chance to win a complimentary pair of tickets.

The competition closes on 5 September.
